Hi!

I've been trying to find a Modbo 4 diagram for my PAL SCPH 30003R PS2 online with no luck. My mother board is a GH-13.

Some other information about it is, the serial number starts with a "B" the Cmos battery is mounted to the side of the DVD drive case and the connectors for the DVD drive parts are the White, Yellow and Red plugs as opposed to the normal ribbon cables.

While reading up on all the different revisions of PS2s I noticed that the things I mentioned above relate to the SCPH 35000x series. Maybe the previous owner swapped cases or something I don't know.

Is this model even compatible with the Modbo 4? I've downloaded the diagrams off your website but none of the pictures match up to my motherboard. Can anyone help me with this, I'm lost.

Thanks

You can try the Matrix Infinity diagrams V1-V11, should work.

Hmm, apparently the G, H and CX points are missing on the original Matrix Infinity diagram (PS2 V4 PAL), but I found a modified version of the diagram for Modbo 4.0 including the missing points, it's attached to this post.

Hey, a bit of an update here.

I've been having issues with my install. I've installed the chip into my PS2 with no success, I've checked over it extensively and all points are soldered in good and are in the right places. I think it's not an issue with my soldering as I've done 2 of these before with no issue at all.

The farthest I've gotten is having the "Matrix" logo pop up and stay for about 8 seconds but then throw me to the PS2 bios menu with none of the chips features activated. I've had the PS2 glitch out a bit on the bios menu (the sound was going ape shit replaying the first few seconds of the start up noise over and over)

Is the Modbo 4 compatible with V4 Gap model or am I fucking up somewhere?

Also does the "S" point on the diagram refer to "SX" on the chip?

Thanks.

It's working now, made the power and ground shorter and it's good. But due to laser problems it's not reading backups. Chips fine as it reads other region games so I'm just gonna move the chip to my other PS2.

It could also be bad burns, make sure the DVD-R (don't use DVD-RW or DVD+R) media surface is dark, burn with slow speed.

The disks work on the last PS2 I chipped. I've made sure to use good quality disks. Some of the PS1 burns even work in my chipped PS1 so I don't think that's the issue.

Even before modding, my 30003R was a bit slow with disks in the first place so that's likely the problem.

Anyway I've moved the chip to my 50003 PS2 and it's 100% working so it's all good.
