You can see an early AXT prototype installation with display here:
On this pic the lcd is soldered directly on the cpld pins, no need for that on the final product.

AXT 40xx does not ship with a pinheader, but you can a use pinheader if needed. Which reminds me we should add pinheaders as a separate product in the shop.
All wires are preferred in new xbox like 1.5 or 1.6, while the "tool design" can be used older xbox version. Still, I'm a wire kind of guy.

I call it "tool design" when the PCB is designed in a way so it can be soldered directly on the LPC bus without using wires for these points.

Is there any update on adding a LCD or is xboxings "proto work" now the official Eurasia diagram?
Where do you enter LCD setup (PIC-3).
Can any 16 character x 2 lines LCD module be used?
I looked at xenochip webpage but it seems enought for them just to ad LCD-support,- now more info about that.
Rega...

The third picture show the display config screen of XBMC (Xbox Media Center) for xbox. A four line display can be used also, as long as the display support 4-bit parallel interface.
You can find the parallel LCD pinout in the AXT diagrams.
There is a typo in the AXT 4064 diagrams regarding the LCD pinout, the point referred to as 'SV' is '5V' (Vdd/Vcc).
BTW;
Regarding some outdated info in this thread. The AXT 4064 now have female pinheader mounted on PCB and separate male-male pinheader included (not shown on picture).

Thanks, i understand the points of connection,- they are the same as mentioned in Roberts post from 2002-06-14.
I was more looking for something like a detailed LCD mod, whit nice pictures of everything, like where the LCD is placed outside the box, in a permanent posistion or whit a connector so it would be possible to remove it, where and how the wires to the LCD comes out of the box and many more details like that.
If it dont exist, a guide like that, then maybe i should make one when i do this LCD mod, its just that there is no reason to do the same work twice

You can search around using google, there are some case mods available, or just use carpet tape and stick the display in top right corner of front panel.
One mod that will be interesting is the X3 Control Panel .
