PART1
Increase the number of games in ps3gen
ps3gen after formatting creates only 4 games.
You can create up to 255 games (FF in hex)
1. You will need a hex editor. I use Winhex. Run winhex. Open Tools-> Open Disc. Select the hard disk is formatted in ps3gen.
2. Go to Offset 2000B
3. You will see this
4. Change the value of the byte at offset 2000B for the desired number of games and add bytes 05D3A0 and 0B as much as you need. An example. I did 5 games. Do not forget after change winhex click Save.
5. Here's what happened
PART2
Change Partition Size
1. Go to Offset 1CA
2. 1 sector = 512 bytes
My HD size = 250058268160 bytes
250058268160 : 512 = 488395055 sectors
convert 488395055 to hex = 1D1C512F
reversed bytes 1D1C512F -> 2F511C1D (little endian to big endian). Maximum size of partition 2Tb
Enjoy!

Thanks! Deserves a news post as well.
I also appreciate that you post the method rather than hiding the patch in some obfuscated application.

Really cool news, but one question:
Why not patching ps3gen?
Rgds.

I can only give the method. If someone makes software to automate, it will be good.

On the error 00030300. I got this error without changing anything in the hex editor. This error appeared when I tried to fill in the second game. Both the first and second game were the size of about 2GB. When I replaced my small 20GB hard drive to 250GB, this error will no longer appear. Maybe every game reserves on the hard drive more space than necessary. I will check it.

Yes, I suspect each slot will require a fixed amount of hard drive space, most likely BD single layer size of 25GB minimum, regardless of actual game size.
I'm thinking of it as a bunch of partition tables rather than one file system with game images.

Upon request, I have described in more detail how to change the partition. You can create two partitions. One for the BD Emu, and the other formatted to FAT32.

Hi there, i've changed the partition as instructed, but it doesn't seem to affect ps3gen, as i still get the 00030300 error even if i fake the size to 2tb. I don't know what to do.
I'm using an hdd with games already copied to it, if that makes any difference,

What the real size of your hdd in bytes? Ps3gen use 50Gbytes for any game. You may not have enough space on your hdd. Maybe in the future will be able to change that.

All right. 1 game you can fill on a hard disk or flash drive small size, because it is the first game starts at offset 100000h, and the second game starts at offset 0BA7500000h etc. When you try to fill the following game with a shortage of space on the hard disk error occurs 00030300.
