This is excellent news for seasoned gamers but also for Ninty especially for the fact that sales of the platform arent flying off the shelves.

What price ranges are we looking at for this miracle key?

Good that it supports all current models but as soon as a AAA first party title releases like Pikmin 3 or New Zelda the built-in software update will corrupt the WiikeU.

That saying there has been a drought of first party AAA releases so Ninty ensures that Pikmin 3 sells well because players are hungry for something decent from Ninty so Ninty ensures Pikmin has no competition because Shiggy has invested so much in this title.

I look forward to ModRob doing a extensive review on this key before we order.

Site is under attack or was already put it down.

Nintendo is pure evil. From all game companies, including consoles, Nintendo is by far the WORST !

Not too excited. If I were you guys I would've waited until there was a decent game library. Hopefully Nintendo doesn't patch the newer games that make this useless. For example the next Zelda, SSB, or Mkart.

No game patching ever made an ODE fail so far, so really doubt that will be a problem.

The only way to detect an ODE device is if it fails to emulate the drive properly, and that can be fixed with a firmware update.

There is no magic trick here, it's just that the device is self-contained, not relying on the console hardware or software at all like other hacks, this makes it much harder to detect.

The Pandora Battery hack for the PSP-1000 is a hardware hack used to enable a recovery mode which enabled the writing of custom firmware. I don't know if it was the first hack, but it's how I got CFW on mine, and it was hardware-related.

Its been a while and we have been hard at work at the Wiikey U hardware. WiiU encrypts the data sent from the drive with AES-CBC-128. We have now fully integrated an AES core into the FPGA and it is operating at the same speed as the drive. We've had a setback with another component though, and we are now testing alternatives. Hopefully we will have another update in a few more weeks.
